Bedlinog Vixens 10

HAVERFORDWEST Ladies RFC entertained a strong and uncompromising Bedlinog Vixens side on Sunday in the WRU Division 2.

The Lady Blues were without some key backs through injury and unavailability, however their replacements stepped up to the mark, no more so than debutant Kylie Archer at full back.

The 18 year-old who has come through the girls junior set up was a rock at full back and showed maturity beyond her years.

The Vixens had a large abrasive pack which the Blues did well to subdue with outstanding performances from them all, especially Awen Prysor who played her best game to date.

Haverfordwest’s own international footballer Jo Price touched down first which she converted. The other tries were scored by no 8 and captain Nina Colville and flanker Prysor, all which were converted by Price.

Bedlinog did manage a try in both halves which was no more than they deserved.

The final score was 28-10 to the home team and man of the match went to another youngster in Delyth Foster who had to play out of position at scrum half and had a super game.

Coach Gareth Charles said: “A special thanks to the shirt sponsors JCP Solicitors and the excellent referee Tony Pratt.”
