Pembrokeshire Knock-Out Cup First Round:
Milford Haven 23 Aberaeron 12
Milford Haven beat Aberaeron under the Observatory Field floodlights to complete the quarter-final line-up for this season's KO Cup.
Strong-running centre Dean Matthews and fly half Jim Farr claimed their tries whilst Ian Rusinek converted both and notched three first-half penalties as they led 9-0 at the interval.
Full back Aled Davies and No 10 Euryl Rees grabbed late tries for Aberaeron, one converted by winger Rhodri Thomas, but it was too late for the visitors as the Mariners join Whitland, Narberth, Haverfordwest, Pembroke Dock Quins, Cardigan, Aberystwyth and Crymych in the quarter-final draw, which will be made on Wednesday evening.
