Welsh League Division Two Dinas Powys 2 Ammanford 1 Ammanford came away from Dinas Powys feeling they probably deserved a point after a late rally.
The hosts broke the deadlock after 30 minutes with a close range header and doubled their lead five minutes before interval with a neat near-post finish.
But after the break, Ammanford set about the task with renewed energy and sawaneffort cleared off the line beforeLuke Fayres’ 30-yard effort required a fine save fromthe home keeper.
Ammanford continued to have the better of the second-half and got the goal their efforts deserved when substitute Oliver Ardelino lifted the ball over the advancing keeper and the Dinas defender’s effort to clear could onlysmashthe ball into the roof of hisown net.
Ammanford continued to press but time eventually ran out.
