Mick Jagger officially hits pension age on Saturday, when he reaches the grand old age of 65.
But the Rolling Stone, who famously "can't get no satisfaction" shows no sign of slowing down in his twilight years.
However, it is understood that rather than having a lavish party, the singer is celebrating quietly with friends and family.
Sir Mick has recently been dating model L'Wren Scott, who is more than two decades his junior, as well as raking in the cash from the band's hugely successful A Bigger Bang tour.
He was executive producer on the Rolling Stones film Shine A Light.
The star was quoted last October by the BBC as saying: "I'm sure the Rolling Stones will do more things and more records and more tours. We've got no plans to stop any of that really."
His image now is not perhaps as wild as fellow Rolling Stone Ronnie Wood, who recently entered rehab after leaving his wife behind while he went to Ireland with a Russian cocktail waitress. The rubber-lipped figurehead for 1960s rebellion has also graced the cover model for Saga magazine.
Jagger's love life has seen him linked to a string of glamorous women, including Marianne Faithfull and Carla Bruni, now married to French President Nicolas Sarkozy.
He has tied the knot twice, to Bianca Jagger and Jerry Hall and has a brood of seven children.
