Big Brother came over all romantic as ex-housemate Mario was allowed to propose to girlfriend Lisa - but without speaking to or touching her.
His presence was revealed as the housemates sat in the living area and a window shutter was slowly raised.
Mario stood in the garden holding up cards which asked the question: "Lisa - I am very sorry - to say you're single - no more - as I have spoken - to your Daddy. - Therefore I would like to - marry you?"
The couple then 'kissed' standing either side of the window.
With all the surprise Lisa only just remembered to say 'yes' before the shutter was lowered again.
The proposal was part of a day where all the housemates were given gifts.
Mohammed received a margarita pizza, Mikey got a bar of chocolate and Sara was given a letter from her sister.
After going into the Diary Room to receive her gift, she said: "This is the best present ever. I'm so happy. I've never been so happy. I'm going to have a cheesy grin on my face ... and it's not going off."
Darnell was less than happy with his gift of an MP3 player with his favourite songs for an hour. He said: "I don't wanna dance to my favourite songs by myself. If anything it would've been better if they'd played the songs for the whole house over the speakers."
The other gifts doled out were a bottle of champagne for Rex, Kat was given cookies and Rachel received a bunch of grapes.
