Boyzone have admitted that Take That's reunion paved the way for them to get back together.
Speaking on the release of their first album since they reunited last year, Shane Lynch said: "I don't think we could have got back together with such ease without Take That doing it first, credit where it's due.
"I think they opened those doors and showed us it was possible, and we realised it was."
Ronan Keating added that the comparisons between the two boy bands were inevitable.
"We were talking while they were getting back together, so it was happening in parallel.
"We'll always be compared to them, though. We were compared to them 15 years ago, and it's still happening now.
"It's not a bad comparison is it? I just hope we can live up to it," he said.
