Hayscastle WI Award winning Mrs Lilwen Mc.Allister entertainbed the members at the last meeting with amusing tales of life as a guest house owner. The competition was won by Audrey and the raffle by Kitty. The November meeting will be the AGM.

Hayscastle School Megan Parry, Ellinor Larsson and Jevon Kingston, accompanied by Mrs Taylor, Headteacher and Mr Baster, Governor, travelled to the Millennium Stadium, Cardiff, recently to be presented with the European Green Flag for Eco-School Platinum Award Pupils were able to participate in some activities, have a tour of the stadium and have lunch before their presentation. They proudly received the Platinum Trophy from Derek Brockway, the well-known weatherman.
