Whist Drive, Haverfordwest

The weekly whist drive was held at the Services Club, Haverfordwest on Wednesday February 24th.

Camrose Community Council The provision of grit bins for use in inclement weather discussed. County Councillor J Adams reported to the meeting that grit bins could be purchased by the Community Council at £200 each and would be replenished by Pembrokeshire County Council.

The Royal British Legion At the February Branch meeting members stood in memory of Mr John Isaac and Mr Ken Griffiths. A new member Mr John Whale was welcomed to the branch, members were pleased to learn that Haverfordwest and District had won the Dr Speedy Cup for the second year running, and the Poppy Appeal total was £19,650, an excellent effort. The draw winner was Ken Howel, the Womens section are holding a cawl evening at the Picton Centre on March 6th, with the Little Landsker Singers, tickets are £5 for members.

Withybush Pain Support Group The February meeting quested by Sarah Phillips on Podiatry was attended by over 40 members and was a great success. The March meeting on Thursday 4th will have guest speaker Mike Ribey giving a talk and film show about 'The World on your plate'.
