The Royal British Legion The local branch meet tonight (Wednesday), at the services club at 7.30pm. Members attended the Mayor's Civic Service, also present was the county secretary Mr Gwilwm Price of Fishguard. Mrs Trish Hall carried the standard for the Women's Section. The legion remembered two important events on June 28th, the association of Archduke Ferdinand, which started the Great War, and the singing of the Treay of Versailles in 1919, which ended the Great War. The Sea Sunday Service will be held on Sunday July 12th at the Goodwick Parrog at 3pm with the Goodwick Brass Band.

Albany Church Morning worship with Holy Communion at Albany Church on Sunday was led by the minister, the Revd David Hawkes. The organist was Christine Phillips and readers were Pam Hamilton and Geoff Rich. There was coffee and fellowship in the hall after the service. The Revd David Murfin celebrated Holy Communion at Merlins Bridge Methodist Church in the evening.

Whist Drive The weekly whist drive was held at the Services Club, Haverfordwest on Wednesday. The winners were 1st lady Mrs B Lloyd; 2nd lady Mrs J Barry; 1st gent zip; 2nd gent Mrs M Moss.

The Royal British Legion The June branch meeting was held at the Services Club. Members had attended the D Day Anniversary Service at Milford Haven, the Armed Forces Day will be on Sunday July 5th at County Hall car park and the community centre from 10am – 5pm there will be a military and vintage car, static display. Admission is free. Refreshments available. The next branch meeting is on Wednesday July 8th at 7.30pm.

Royal Air Forces Association The West Wales Region RAFA AGM was held at the RAFA Club in St Davids recently, those elected were president Mrs Leigh Smailes, vice-president Mr John Farrow, secretary/treasurer Mr Tony Dyer. The next regional meeting is at the Gremlin Club, Carmarthen on September 25th.

Albany Church Morning worship at Albany Church on Sunday was led by Mrs LaDonna Mallams. Flowers were given by Linda and Hugh-John Wilson in memory of Hugh-John's father.

Ebenezer Presbyterian Church, Haverfordwest The morning service was led by Rev Jennie Annis. The evening service was led by Mr Dennis Payne.

Last Sunday provided an excellent backdrop for the village of Roch to ‘Open its Gardens’ to the public. This was the third time this event has been held.
