Mrs. Elaine Jones Pembroke Mrs. Elaine Jones of Pembroke passed away after a short illness at Withybush Hospital on Friday 31st. August, aged 75 years. A loving and adored mother of four, she was a very well-liked and respected person who dedicated her life to her family and to caring for people with mental and physical disabilities. Following the death of her much loved daughter, Amanda, who was herself handicapped and died in 1979, she worked with people with disabilities in various fields, culminating her career as the manager of two respite homes for the handicapped in Haverfordwest, where she used her gift for dealing with people and her special rapport for the handicapped to the full. Her bubbly, charismatic nature and her great sense of humour gained her many friends throughout her life. Elaine leaves behind her husband, Trevor, her three surviving children, Liane, David and Matthew as well as her brother, Raymond and her seven grandchildren, Lucy, Millie, Archie, Nina, Caitlin, Kirsten and Aaron, all of whom will miss her dearly. Respecting her wishes, there will a private funeral for her immediate family.
