Mr. Stephen George Lewis Pembroke The death occurred peacefully at Withybush Hospital on Wednesday 12th. September of Mr. George Lewis of Lower Lamphey Road, Pembroke. He was 83. The funeral will take place on Friday 21st. September with a service at Pennar Community Church, Bethany followed by a private family cremation. Family flowers only please but if desired, donations in lieu in memory of George for The British Heart Foundation may be sent to John Roberts & Son, Funeral Directors, 51, Bush Street, Pembroke Dock, SA72 6AN, Tel. 01646 683115, who are carrying out the arrangements.

George you taught me art for years as an adult student, we all had such great fun. You could talk for Britain (like me) you had a booming voice (unlike me) and you would tell us funny stories about when you were a boy. You were very kind and would do anything for anybody. We were all upset when you told us you were 'retiring' but of course knowing you, you carried on (with Jeanne) painting. Every year you would send me one of you famous Christmas cards and I have kept everyone. I would bump into you and Jeanne in one of the charity shops in the Dock and of course you gave me the third degree about what was going on in art etc. George you were brilliant in all ways and I cannot believe you are no longer with us. To those people who never met you, I feel sorry for you as you missed a wonderful man.
