Nicholas Haggar of Haverfordwest The death occurred suddenly on Monday the 20th of December of Nicholas Haggar at his home in Haverfordwest, aged 57. Nick grew up in St Florence and later in Tenby, where he attended Greenhill School. A talented and skilful midfielder Nick played football in many junior and senior seasons for both Kilgetty and Tenby and was regularly picked to play for the County team. Nick also enjoyed a love of the sea and particularly enjoyed bass fishing in his boat off the coast of Tenby and Caldey Island. Nick worked as a legal executive for Pembrokeshire County Council for over 35 years and was popular amongst his many colleagues at County Hall. Nick was passionate about football, rugby, fishing and enjoyed his skiing, but his biggest love was for his children and his family. Nick was predeceased by his partner Joanne in June 2021 and his father Roy, but leaves to mourn his children Will and Connie, stepson David and partner Katie, stepdaughter Frankie and partner Ed, his mother Margaret, sister Sarah and brother-in-law Fred, his brother Tom and sister-in-law Petra, nieces Annie, Kitty, and Eden and nephews Charlie George and Herbie The funeral will take place at Parc Gwyn Crematorium on January 18th at 12.15pm. Due to current restrictions mourners will have to pay their respects from outside the Crematorium. For those colleagues wishing to pay their respects the hearse will pass County Hall at around 11.40am before leaving Haverfordwest. Family flowers only.
