Town and Country Planning Act 1990 (As Amended) The Developments of National Significance
(Procedure) (Wales) Order 2016 The Developments of National Significance (Wales) Regulations 2016
Application by: Egnedol Wales Limited
Site: Land at Blackbridge and Waterston, Near Milford
Haven.
Development: Construction of a 49.9 MW Sustainable Energy facility utilising Biomass and Biomass recovered from WDF as feedstock. The feedstock will be broken down by a pyrolysis process into a synthetic gas and cleaned to a standard comparable to natural gas.
The syn-gas will then be fed into gas engines to generate electricity for export to the National Grid. Low
grade heat from the Energy Facility will be captured and used to promote the development of and reduce costs of operation of downstream industries. These will
include aquaculture facilities comprising Fish and Prawn farms, algae production units, algae water
treatment units, cheese production unit and greenhouses. Additional on-site facilities will include also include a packaging facility, Research and Development Facilities
and a facility for the advanced conversion of carbon to aviation fuel.
Notice is hereby given that an Inspector appointed by the Welsh Ministers, Mr C M Nield BSc (Hons), CEng, MICE, MCIWEM, will hold Hearing sessions at:
The Cleddau Bridge Hotel, Essex Road,
Pembroke Dock, SA72 6EG on Wednesday 29 March 2017 at 10:00 (Hearing 1)
and Thursday 30 March 2017 at 10:00 (Hearing 2)
The purpose of the Hearings is for the Inspector to hear evidence relating to Protected Species and Special Areas of Conservation (Hearing 1) and Safety and Amenity Matters and Conditions (Hearing 2).
Please note that although the events are open to members of
the public to observe, only those specifically invited by the
Inspector are entitled to participate. As such, there will be limited seating available.
Notwithstanding the above, the Inspector has also decided to hold a local public open forum to allow interested parties the opportunity to give their views orally on all aspects of
the project. This will be an evening session and will take place at 19:00 on Tuesday 28 March 2017 at
Milford Haven Town Hall, Hamilton Terrace, Milford
Haven, SA73 3JW.
It would be extremely helpful if those who wish to participate in the open forum could advise the case officer, Mr Rhys Rigby (address below), by midday Tuesday 21 March 2017.
