A feast of Storytelling for Grown-ups is coming to Pembrokeshire in September.
Carol Pearce, from St Davids, is joining forces with Danish storyteller, Inger Lodberg, to share tales from Wales and Scandinavia.
“When the Danish Vikings raided Pembrokeshire 1,000 years ago, they would have brought their old myths” says Carol “They spent the winter here, far from home. After hauling their longships onto the muddy banks of the Cleddau, they would have told these stories to each other.”
Carol and Inger will be performing at Coronation Hall, Dale (7.30pm £7) on Wednesday September 19th and Oriel y Parc, St David’s (7.30pm £7) on Thursday September 20th . On Friday September 21st, they will be at Tafarn Sinc, Rosebush, where Carol will tell her Welsh tales in Welsh (£18 including a meal, which must be pre-booked ring Tafarn Sinc on 01437 532214, food 6-8pm, stories start 8.15pm).
The storytellers will also lead a story walk on the morning of Thursday September 20th starting from Pwllgwaelod (gather 10am), then along the level path to Cwm-yr-Eglwys and back by 12.30pm. The whole walk is around 3 miles.
