BLACK Rat Theatre will be making a welcome return to Cardigan’s Theatr Mwldan where they will perform their brand new play ‘Loot’.

The team behind last year’s ‘One Man, Two Guvnors’ present a wickedly delicious, original version of Joe Orton’s dark comic masterpiece.

Dennis works for an undertaker. Hal's old mum has just died. Ludicrous slapstick meets dubious morals as the two young friends stash the proceeds of a bank robbery in mum’s occupied coffin, all while trying to avoid a crazed policeman, a gold-digging nurse and a grieving widower.

With the money safely hidden, there's no place for mum whose body keeps re-appearing at the most inopportune times and our reprehensible thieves stumble their way through with hilarious consequences.

Orton’s classic farce is a glorious mix of lunacy, political incorrectness and macabre humour. Sometimes shocking, sometimes baffling but at all times uproariously funny, this is a theatrical experience not to be missed!

Containing adult themes and sexual references, the production has an age suitability of 14-plus and is supported by Arts Council Wales.

Catch Black Rat's production of Loot at Theatr Mwldan on Friday, October 19 (7.30pm). Tickets cost £14 (£13) and are available now from Theatr Mwldan’s box office on 01239 621200, online at www.mwldan.co.uk or via the new Mwldan app.
