NYE Bevan's beautiful baby is 70 this year, but will she make a ton?

Dr Phil Hammond will be asking just that when he travels down to Cardigan’s Theatr Mwldan on Wednesday, November 21 (7.30pm) with his new show Happy Birthday NHS?

A decade of austerity with a Brexit cherry on top has brought the NHS to her knees.

Dr Phil charts the course of the NHS from 1948 to as long as she lasts.

Come cheer the heroes, boo the villains and look to the future of robot surgeons, Fitbit nurses and iPhone GPs. Batteries not included.

Dr Phil Hammond has worked in the NHS for 31 years and loves it so much he still does. He is also a broadcaster, journalist, author, campaigner and comic.

“Tough on doctors, politicians and patients. And he’s funny,” says the Daily telegraph, while The Guardian describes him as “one of the most entertainingly subversive people on the planet.”

“Funny and provocative… a morbid wit with a schoolboy grin,” writes the Evening Standard.

Pop up restaurant The People Tree will be serving food before Dr Phil’s show (seating at 6pm)

Please contact The People Tree directly on 07708 003 014 to reserve your table and advise your menu choices (meat/vegetarian).
