DON’T miss your chance to see The English National Opera’s fantastic production of The Mikado (PG), screening at Cardigan’s Theatr Mwldan on Tuesday, July 9 at 7pm.

Nanki-Poo loves Yum-Yum. Just one snag. She's betrothed to Ko-Ko, the Lord High Executioner. And Ko-Ko needs to find someone to execute - chop-chop!

Gilbert & Sullivan's much-loved farce The Mikado is full of wit, charm and catchy tunes.

Set in an ever-so-English 1930’s seaside hotel, Jonathan Miller’s Marx Brothers-inspired song-and-dance Mikado is a hit with audiences of all ages. The combination of Gilbert’s virtuosic wit, Sullivan’s memorable melodies and director Jonathan Miller’s hilarious antics is irresistible.

Distinguished bass Robert Lloyd sings the genial Mikado with Richard Suart as Ko-Ko, the acknowledged master of the Lord High Executioner’s pathological ‘little list’.

“If you have never seen it, go. If it’s a decade or two since you last went, then go again,” writes The Guardian, while WhatsOnStage says: “'Riotous production hits the funny bone.”

Tickets for The Mikado (PG) are £16 per adult (£15 concession) and are available now from Theatr Mwldan’s box office on 01239 621200, online at mwldan.co.uk or via the Mwldan app.
