A GALA concert headlined by rising opera star Trystan Llŷr Griffiths is takes place at the Queens Hall, Narberth on Saturday, October 5, in aid of the building's refurbishment fundraiser appeal.

Built in 1958, the charity-run venue with a rich entertainment history was rebuilt and remodelled in the 90s, but in its seventh decade, it is looking in need of help to take it forward.

Plans to install new heating, air conditioning, lighting, flooring and toilets throughout the whole building will make it a more comfortable, sustainable and eco-friendly place to be for the community.

Local lad turned international operatic singer, Trystan is fast making his mark on the international opera stage, having worked with Opera National de Lorraine, Zurich Opera, Scottish Opera, Opera North and the Welsh National Opera.

He will be supported by the Llanelli Male Voice Choir and Nos Wener A Cappella Youth Group with Molara Awen.

Llanelli Male Voice Choir have graced many leading auditoriums in their 53-year history, including London’s Royal Albert Hall, while Nos Wener, who originally formed as part of Narberth A Capella Voice Festival, explore rhythm and harmonies across different genres, from pop to traditional Welsh folk with a twist.
