BLUESTONE Brewing Company will be welcoming another fantastic band to play live on their brewery stage this August bank holiday.

The CC Smugglers have previously performed at Glastonbury, Isle of Wight, Bestival, Latitude and many more and are now heading west to Cilgwyn for a bank holiday bash, following hot on the heels of African soukous music superstar Kanda Bongo Man who lit up the North Pembrokeshire stage last year.

Good times music inspired by American and world folk, swing, jazz and blues, the CC Smugglers have been described as ‘genuinely innovative, creative and contemporary’ and have developed a reputation for unique original compositions and red-hot live shows.

CC Smugglers are selling out venues in their own right, and stealing the headlines at the Cambridge, Cornbury and Glastonbury Festivals.

They’ve also been playing further afield at some of Europe’s biggest festivals including sharing the bill with Bruce Springsteen at the prestigious Werchter Festival in Belgium followed by dates in the Netherlands, Germany, Czech Republic and more.

It has been a rapid rise that has elicited critical plaudits from the Sunday Times culture section, bluesman Seasick Steve, BBC Radio 2 folk guru Bob Harris “great live and just brilliant” and BBC 6 Music’s Cerys Matthews, who describes them as “the best live band on the scene at the moment”.

Tickets for the gig on Sunday, August 26 (7.30pm) are available to buy now on the brewery website www.bluestonebrewing.co.uk
