A GROUP of tourists proved that 'sat navs' are no substitute for local knowledge this Bank Holiday weekend, when they drove into the sea at Angle.
Four women, on holiday from London for the weekend, had to be rescued from their flooded vehicle at around 9.30pm on Sunday (April 20).
The group had been planning a trip from Milford Haven, where they were staying, to the Old Point House pub.
They followed the instructions of their sat nav, took a wrong turning, and travelled around 400m down a 'no through road' before they realised the hire car was bonnet-deep in water.
St Govan's Coastguard located the vehicle and helped the women on to dry land, and a breakdown firm later came to rescue the flooded car.
