The county got comic last Friday with comedy cook-ins, crazy hair styles and plenty of fancy dress. All to raise money for Comic Relief's Red Nose Day.

With the help of Four Cooks Catering, Manorbier based children's club - FM- organised a cookery workshop with a Red Nose theme "We wanted to think local and think fair trading" said one of the FM team Kizzie Tooby, aged 11.

"Mrs Millgate, our Vicar's wife sells Traidcraft produce which we bought. We also used goods from our local shop and Post Office, Manorbier Stores."

They sold their produce outside Manorbier Post office and stores, much to the delight of the locals population. A total of £42 has been raised for Comic Relief so far.

At Ysgol Bro Dewi the children went for the Big One in big clothes, they completed a sponsored assault course with the help of Brawdy's 14th signal regiment and raised nearly £800.

Pembrokeshire College showcased a wide range of specialities to raise cash: HD1 hairdressing students created crazy hair styles, the foundation art course sold comic caricatures and the complementary therapy crew provided reflexology in exchange for donations. At the end of the day £300 was in the coffers and they were still counting.
