SAVE Withybush Action Team is planning another Senedd protest in a bid to bring back vital services to Withybush Hospital.
The protest on Tuesday, March 8 is likely to be the last one SWAT organises as it campaigns for the return of 24-hour consultant led obstetric and paediatric care and the Special Care Baby Unit.
SWAT chairman Dr Chris Overton said: “Our largest gatherings were about 1,200 outside Withybush and about 700 outside the Senedd. To make any impact on the Welsh Government we need this demonstration to be the largest by far.”
Ten coaches have been booked so far, but SWAT is hoping to fill at least 20. Bookings are being taken up until February 29 and there will be a £10 charge for those who can afford to pay. The committee will meet on March 1 to collate numbers and make a decision on whether the protest is worth going ahead.
