A SEMI-finalist in a national beauty contest raised more than £700 for charity by walking a section of the Pembrokeshire coast path.
Courtney Jenkins of St Davids was joined by friends Emily Lawton, Oliver Owen and Jack McMullan on the 23 mile trek, starting in Whitesands at 8am and finishing in Strumble Head 10 and a half hours later.
They were collecting money for Together for Short Lives, which is supported by Miss Teen Great Britain, of which Courtney is a semi-finalist.
The charity helps support children and their families with a life limiting illness.
“We kept stopping to take pictures and eat food,” said Courtney, “but we soon realised we would run out of time.
“As we got closer to our destination it gradually got colder and darker but we were determined to finish.
“We walked the last hour in the dark, but thankfully we had torches.”
Courtney will compete for the Miss Teen Great Britain crown in Blackpool in October.
