MEMBERS of the Royal Antediluvian Order of Buffaloes (Buffs) met at the Railwaymen’s Club in Fishguard on March 7 to present cheques of £500 each to the Wales Air Ambulance and the Diabetic Society at Withybush Hospital.
The money was raised during two nights of turkey bingo in December, which was well supported.
At the same meeting a prominent member of the Gwaun Lodge, Geoffrey Owen, was presented with a jewel to commemorate 50 years of membership.
He was initiated on February 8, 1966 at Picton Castle Lodge and went on to become one of the founder members of the Gwaun Lodge at Fishguard in August 1973.
All of the brothers will like to say “a hearty well done, keep up the good work and beaming smile.”
