PEMBROKE Ladies RNLI Fundraising Guild was delighted to be the first charity to benefit from a quiz night at Pembroke Dock's new pub and restaurant, The Helm, in Commercial Row.
Tony and Hannah Thomas, longstanding huge supporters of the RNLI, wish to continue to help RNLI fundraising whenever possible for Pembroke Ladies Guild in this area.
Thanks to the generosity of Tony and Hannah, their customers, family and friends £70 was raised in just a couple of hours. This amount, for example, will buy a pair of uniform, specially made, wellington boots for a lifeboat crew volunteer, which really puts fundraising into perspective.
Chair Daphne Bush said: “Pembroke Guild Chair and members would like to take this opportunity to wish Tony and Hannah every success with their new venture in Pembroke Dock and will definitely be back to hold another event in 2018.
“Many, many, thanks to everyone supporting us at The Helm on December 20. Again our wishes for a very Happy Christmas and a healthy New Year.”
