RECENT crime figures in Pembroke Dock, Pembroke, and the surrounding area have seen a large increase month-on-month, the latest figures from Dyfed-Powys Police have revealed.

Crime figures reported in Pembroke Dock increased month-on-month, from 103 in December to 140 in January, while the Pembroke area increased from 53 in December to 69 in January.

Pembroke Dock saw incidents of antisocial behaviour rise month-on-month from 31-50, while Pembroke decreased from 15-13.

Offences recorded in Pembroke Dock in January included 23 criminal damage or arson, up from 15; 28 violence offences, down from 32; 14 shoplifting, down from nine; four other theft; two burglary, down from five; six vehicle crime, up from two; one weapons possession; five public order; and six drugs offences, up from two.

The Pembroke area saw six criminal damage; 26 violence-related offences, up from 14; two burglary, down from five; nine drugs, up from one; three vehicle crime; three other theft; five shoplifting; and one public order.

The trend over 2017, based on the latest figures, shows Pembroke Dock crime figures at 91 in December 2016, 128 in January, 110 in February, 119 in March, 99 in April, 129 in May, 128 in June, 138 in July, 164 in August, 112 in September, 122 in October, and110 in November.

Pembroke and the surrounding area saw recorded figures of 64 in December 2016, 63 in January, 69 in February, 62 in March, 52 in April, 78 in May, 95 in June, 85 in July, 83 in August, 75 in September, 96 in October, and 79 in November.
