PEMBROKESHIRE College is holding six Dementia Friendly Workshops this March.

The one hour sessions will take place throughout the month, and will help give people an understanding of dementia and the things they can do to make a difference to those living with the condition.

The sessions will take place on:

- Wednesday, March 7 at 5pm

- Friday, March 9 at 1.15pm or 2.45pm

- Tuesday, March 20 at 2pm or 6pm

- Saturday, March 24 at 10am.

Anyone is welcome to attend.

Haverfordwest Town Council is working with more than twenty local organisations and the Alzheimer’s Society to provide free dementia training for any organisation or business in Haverfordwest.

The council also plans to start a Dementia Cafe and advice centre at the Picton Centre.

The programme will be launched during Dementia Action Week in May 2018.

The Alzheimer’s Society have agreed to hold a free Dementia Champion training day at Pembrokeshire College on April 24, which is open to anyone who has attended a Dementia Friendly workshop.
