A Fishguard man will be sentenced at crown court after admitting buying Class B drugs in bulk.

Mark Fensome, of Heol Glyndwr, pleaded guilty to cannabis possession when he appeared before Haverfordwest magistrates on Tuesday, May 8.

Sian Vaughan, prosecuting, told the court that 86grams of cannabis were recovered in Fishguard as a result of a search warrant on February 16, and the drugs had an estimated street value of £860.

The bench heard that Fensome, 30, was subject to a crown court suspended sentence order at the time of the offence.

Craig Davies, defending, said that Fensome had made full admissions to police officers, and had paid £300 for the Class B drug.

“He says he uses cannabis quite a lot and did not like buying it every day, so he bought a large amount.”

Magistrates sent the case to Swansea Crown Court for sentencing, and Fensome was released on unconditional bail until his next hearing on June 8.
