AN APPEAL has gone out for 102nd birthday cards to be sent to a former WRAF stationed in Pembrokeshire during the Second World War.

Wyn Davidson was first posted to the Women's Royal Air Force and then later moved to the ground crew.

Her family are sure that she was posted to Pembrokeshire and nearly 80 years later are asking people to send a card to help celebrate her 102nd birthday on July 22.

"Wyn lives near me, she has three carers coming in but is still in good health," said her nephew Ron Clark.

"I visit her three times a day, but still feel it is not enough. She's doing well for her age and still in her own home.

"I had an idea to make her 102nd birthday special. If people would like to send her a birthday card to our address that would be great.

"We are trying to get cards from around the UK and abroad. The people she served with in Pembrokeshire would have probably passed on but they might still have family members who might have known Wyn."

Anybody who would like to send Wyn a card can do so care of Ron Clark at 98 Rowan Avenue, Washington, Tyne and Wear, NE38 9AG.
