THE NOMINATIONS for the Western Telegraph's Health and Care awards have now closed.

The newspaper that fights for Pembrokeshire is showcasing the dedication of those who get up every day, go to work and battle against the budget cuts, the headlines, and the threat of restructuring to save and improve the lives of patients in their care.

Hussain Bayoomi, managing director of the Western Telegraph, said of the 2018 Awards: “We are recognising the outstanding work of individuals and teams from the across the whole health spectrum.

Western Telegraph editor Steve Adams added: “The people in our health services are the super-heroes of real life - they go above and beyond, saving lives and caring for us when we need help most.

“We are calling on the public to show their support and help us show our appreciation.”

A glitzy awards presentation evening will take place in October at the County Showground Pavilion where the winners will be announced.

The Western Telegraph would like to thank everyone who has nominated a friend, family or co-worker for one of the awards.

Thanks also go to those who have sponsored the awards, backing the excellence of our local health and care workers.
