TEACHERS and home educators are encouraged to take advantage of free cinema tickets this November.

As part of the UK-wide Into Film festival, local performances will be an autism-friendly screening of Sherlock Gnomes and Revolting Rhymes at the Torch Theatre, Milford Haven, and Leave No Trace and The House With A Clock In Its Walls at Theatr Gwaun, Fishguard.

Bookings can be made by schools, colleges, youth leaders and home educators.

Non Stevens, head of Into Film Cymru, said: “We have a proven track record in helping teachers deliver staggering educational breakthroughs through film.

“Our festival offers an opportunity for teachers, lecturers, home schoolers across Wales to see the value of our work and to see the way film can breathe life into everyday learning.

“Last year, across the UK, we welcomed nearly half a million primary and secondary school students to the festival – 24,000 in Wales alone.”

The festival is supported by Cinema First and the BFI through National Lottery funding.
