A BURY-based charity is appealing for food donations from schools and churches.
Porch Boxes, staffed entirely by volunteers, delivers around a hundred “crisis packs” of food every week to a wide range of organisations in the borough. These packs are then given to families and individuals in urgent need.
However, the charity is now making its harvest appeal for food donations to gather produce for coming months, as many items will run out before Christmas.
The charity has all year round collection points in the Bury, Pilsworth and Radcliffe Asda stores, as well as Morrisons in Whitefield and Ramsbottom, and Tesco in Ramsbottom.
