Mrs B J Armstrong

Hakin

MRS Barbara Jacqueline Armstrong of Croft Avenue, Hakin, Milford Haven passed away on September 8 at Withybush Hospital. She was 83.

Originally from Padstow in Cornwall, her first job was as an office worker for Bray and Parken in Padstow.

She enjoyed bringing up her seven children. After she left Padstow and she set up her marital home in Milford Haven.

She last worked at Hubberston Youth Club where she loved working around children and they loved her.

Barbara enjoyed spending time being around her children, many grandchildren and great grandchildren. She liked to bake and was always game for a laugh.

Her and her deceased husband, Daniel Cyril Armstrong/Danny will always be remembered for their wonderful dancing/waltzing on a Saturday night at Hakin Social Club.

The family left to mourn and principal mourners are children Tony and Steph, Robert and Ruby, Bernard and Karen, Philip and Diane (sons and partners); Debbie and Paul, Gillian and Neil, Andrea and Nick (daughters and partners); Tony and Gill (brother, Padstow); John Nicholas (brother-in-law, Padstow); brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law Michael and Noreen Armstrong, David and Georgina Evans and Lottie Phillips; Mike, Rob, Lucy, Kate, Alastair, Antony, Lisa, Bethany, Gareth, Jenna, Abigail, Andrew, Daniel, Georgia and Morgan (grandchildren and partners); Ellie, Finley, Gracie, Maisie, Isabella, Williams, Sophia, Ava, Lillie, Lottie, Holly and Marley (great grandchildren) and the many nieces and nephews from Padstow.

The service was held at Parc Gwyn, Narberth on September 17. It was officiated by Rev A Bookless and the bearers were Tony, Robert, Bernard and Philip.

Donations in lieu of flowers are for the Paul Sartori Hospice at Home, Winch Lane, Haverfordwest, Pembrokeshire.

The funeral arrangements were carried out by Tom Newing and Sons Ltd, of Milford Haven.

Mr A J Ward

Haverfordwest

MR Alfred Joseph Ward passed away on August 28 at the age of 89 at Withybush General Hospital, Haverfordwest.

He lived in Prendergast, Haverfordwest.

He was born in Liverpool and lived and worked all over England and Wales, including Dorset and Devon.

When he moved to Wales he worked in many different locations including Brawdy and Aberporth airfields and various oil refineries.

He loved the Pembrokeshire country side and coast, playing boules on the beach, and cockling at Saundersfoot.

The family left to mourn are Timothy (son); Tracey (daughter); their partners Sandra and Simon; Leah (granddaughter); Stella (sister).

The service was held at Parc Gwyn on September 14.

The funeral arrangements were carried out by Roy Folland and Son of Haverfordwest.
