POLICE and other emergency services were called to the Mount Estate, Milford Haven this afternoon, October 16 following a disturbance.

It is understood a man threatened to blow up his flat and had been throwing items from the property.

Armed police had been heard shouting warnings to the man in the flat.

Update 3.05pm: A man has been seen being led away by police officers.

Police had chainsawed the door of the flat to get access. The man appeared reasonably calm as he was led away.

Dyfed-Powys Police said: "Dyfed-Powys Police attended a property on the Mount Estate on Tuesday afternoon, 16th October,  following concerns raised about the behaviour of an individual.

"A 56-year old man has been detained, and taken to hospital for treatment.

Inspector Roger Smith said: “Police were quickly on the scene to deal with the report, and to ensure the safety of both the man involved, and the public. I would like to thank local residents for their patience while we dealt with the incident.”
