TENBY and St Govan coastguard teams took part in an unusual mercy mission in Tenby yesterday afternoon, October 17, going to the aid of an unlucky dog in danger of falling down a steep embankment.
Shortly after 1pm, Tenby Coastguard Rescue team along with St Govan Coastguard Rescue team were paged to reports of a dog fallen over the embankment at The Norton.
Posting on Facebook, Tenby Coastguard Rescue team wrote: “Upon arrival the rescue teams set up for a technical rope rescue to recover the dog.”
Fortunately for the hapless pooch, the alarming event ended in a happy ‘tail’.
“The dog was recovered safely and returned to its owners,” stated Tenby Coastguard Rescue.
