Lack of insurance has cost a driver £569.
Anthony John Smith, of Symmons Street, Waun Wen, Swansea, entered a written guilty plea to Haverfordwest magistrates on Tuesday, October 30.
The court heard that Smith, 51, was stopped on Holyland Road, Pembroke, for an unrelated matter on October 12, and checks revealed he was using a VW Lupo without third party insurance.
Magistrates fined Smith £440 and ordered him to pay £85 court costs and a £44 surcharge.
Six penalty points were added to his licence.
