An image of an individual from the First World War appeared in the sand at Freshwater West today (Sunday).
A portrait of Charles Alan Smith Morris, of the Bedfordshire Regiment, was created as part of Pages of the Sand, as communities across the UK gathered on beaches to pay tribute to the millions of men and women who took part in the war.
Film maker Danny Boyle invited people around Britain to join him in marking 100 years since Armistice and the end of the First World War.
