A special ceremony was held at Whitland's First World War remembrance garden in Parc Dr Owen at 9.30am on Sunday.
To mark the centenary of the very first Armistice Day, small wooden crosses were laid by Whitland RAF cadets and the Whitland and Llanboidy branch of the Royal British Legion.
These are in memory of each of the 17 soldiers named on the Whitland First World War memorial plaque.
The ceremony was conducted by the Rev Huw George, who is chaplain of both organisations.
