Fishguard Square saw the biggest crowd ever attend a remembrance service and wreath laying. The morning started with a procession of local organisations from the Golden Mile to a packed St Mary's Church for the service of remembrance.

35 wreaths were then laid at the war memorial on Fishguard Square. The youngest wreath layers were members of Goodwick Rainbows while the oldest was Jennifer Olsen of Queen Alexandra's Royal Army Nursing Corps.

"The service was terrific," said Gwilym Price of the Royal British Legion. "Fishguard Square was the most I have ever seen. "It was a wonderful service both in Fishguard and Goodwick. It went smoothly and was very well organised. The young people did a wonderful job and i would like to thank all the clergy who participated."
