A MOTHER has warned of the dangers of leaving shopping on the floor after her trainee paramedic daughter’s Christmas presents were stolen this weekend.

Yvette Weblin-Grimsley’s 22-year-old daughter was shopping in Haverfordwest on Sunday, November 18 and put her shopping bags down to untangle a shop display bauble.

The next thing she knew, her shopping had disappeared, never to be seen again.

“Please let this be a warning to others - don't put your shopping down - not even for a minute,” said Yvette.

“There may be some mean opportunist thief waiting to steal your shopping.”

Her daughter is a Paramedic Science student at Swansea University and a Member of St John's Ambulance, she has also been a volunteer for the Stroke Association in Haverfordwest.

She is currently on placement with the ambulance service in Fishguard, and intends to remain in Wales once she is qualified and hopes to be a paramedic.

“I am hoping that the mean person that stole her bag of Christmas presents and decorations from a shop in Haverfordwest on Sunday is reading this and that they never need her to look after them and maybe save their life,” said Yvette.

In a non-emergency situation, Dyfed-Powys Police can be contacted via 101 for help with crime and related issues.
