A RUNNER has taken on a 10 kilometer run on one of the summer's hottest days in aid of a national charity.

Phil Rees is well known throughout the farming community of Pembrokeshire as the Founder and Managing Director of PRAg which is based at Broadway near Haverfordwest and is a well-established agronomy business through the provision of specialist grassland and arable husbandry advice.

In his spare time Phil is a dedicated runner and one of the hottest days of the summer he took part in a 10k trail run at a Running Trail Festival at Builth Wells, starting and ending at the Royal Welsh Showground, running through familiar territory of valleys, fields, woodland tracks and stunning forestry.

By doing this he raised £300 for Prostate Cymru.

Prostate Cymru Ambassador Eddie Butler who is well known as a rugby legend, broadcaster and author recently called with Phil to thank him for his efforts.

Eddie said: "It is wonderful to see the special efforts that people like Phil make in willing to go the extra mile in supporting Prostate Cymru in spite of being a very busy man.”
