A Narberth teenager had been banned from driving for three years after admitting drink-driving.
Chef Rhys Thomas, of Redstone Court, pleaded guilty to driving while over the legal alcohol limit when he appeared before Haverfordwest magistrates on Tuesday, December 11.
Abul Hussain, prosecuting, told the court Thomas’ Vauxhall Corsa was stopped by police at Cartlett, Haverfordwest in the early hours of November 25, due to an apparent defect.
Asked if he had been drinking, Thomas, 19, said he’d ‘had a few’, and a roadside breath-test was positive.
He was found to have to 45mg of alcohol in 100ml of breath, the legal limit is 35mg.
The court heard he had a previous conviction for drug-driving in 2017.
A £120 was imposed by magistrates, who also ordered Thomas to pay £85 court costs and a £30 surcharge.
He was banned from driving for 36 months.
