A WOMAN is in hospital in what police have described as a "life-changing condition", following an incident in Haverfordwest last night (Thursday, January 3).
Dyfed-Powys Police is investigating a serious assault in North Street at around 6.30pm.
A 34-year-old man from Haverfordwest, has been arrested on suspicion of grievous bodily harm.
He remains in police custody.
Enquiries are being carried out in the local area, including forensic analysis of the scene and house-to-house enquiries.
The victim remains in hospital in a life-changing condition.
Anyone who witnessed the incident or at that time or in the lead up to the incident is urged to report it to police by calling 101.

Police sealed off the area last night, and the cordon remained in place this morning so scene of crime officers could investigate.
