Police have named the man arrested in connection with an incident in North Street, Haverfordwest, on Thursday evening.
Darren Connolly, aged 34, has been charged with section 18 grievous bodily harm (GBH) and criminal damage for spreading faeces over the cell walls. He was remanded to Llanelli Mags Court today, Saturday, January 5.
Connolly has pleaded guilty to the criminal damage and received a nine-week sentence.
No plea was entered to the GBH charge.
Connolly will next appear at Swansea Crown Court on Monday, February 4.
The assault is alleged to have happened in North Street at around 6.30pm on Thursday, January 3.
A woman remains in hospital in what police have described as a "life-changing condition", following the alleged incident.
Anyone who witnessed anything at in the area at around 6.30pm, or in the period of time leading up to it, is urged to report it to police by calling 101 and quoting reference 287 of January 3.
