A COUPLE from Hakin are to stand trial accused of being involved in attacks on four different women on the same day.
William Griffiths, aged 30, and his wife Rebecca, 31, appeared at Swansea crown court today (January 11) for a plea and trial preparation hearing before Judge Keith Thomas.
Rebecca Griffiths admitted causing grievous bodily harm to Joanne McMullen on April 2, 2017 and her husband admitted causing GBH to Leanne Smith, both without intent.
William Griffiths also pleaded guilty to assaulting Cody Donovan.
Both defendants denied affray and assaulting Marie Stacey causing actual bodily harm, and a charge of causing Leanne Smith GBH with intent.
Ian Wright, prosecuting, said the pleas were not acceptable and he would press ahead with a trial on more serious charges.
Both will be tried accused of affray, causing GBH to Leanne Smith with intent, and causing ABH to Marie Stacey.
A five day trial will begin on April 29.
The Griffiths, of Picton Road, were granted bail.
