THREE people were taken to hospital after their vehicle entered the water at Black Tar, Llangwm yesterday evening.

Police and a coastguard rescue team from Broad Haven attended the incident.

A police spokesman said: "Dyfed-Powys Police were made aware of a vehicle entering the River Cleddau at Black Tar, Llangwm, at around 8.25pm on Sunday, January 13.

"As a result, three people were checked over by staff at hospital. None had suffered serious injuries.

"It is anticipated the vehicle will be recovered today."

The police spokesman confirmed that the three occupants of the vehicle were able to make their own way out of the water.

A coastguard spokesman said: "At around 8.30pm yesterday (13 January) Dyfed Powys Police requested HM Coastguard assistance following reports of a car entering the water at Black Tar, Llangwm.

"Broad Haven Coastguard Rescue Team attended the scene and it was confirmed that the vehicle's occupants were safely out of the vehicle.

"Milford Haven Port Authority were informed about the submerged vehicle."
