PEMBROKE Dock firefighters handed over a cheque for £500 to poverty relief charity PATCH recently.
Crew from the station raised the money through collections outside the town's Tesco supermarket.
Thanks to the generosity of shoppers, they were able to support PATCH and raised more than £2,300 for the Fire Fighters Charity.
Tracy Olin, PATCH manager, said the donation was 'incredible'.
"What heroes they are, thanks guys - we really appreciate you."
Graham Callan of Pembroke Dock fire station said: "Every year we go down to Tesco over a few days to collect for the Fire Fighters Charity and local causes.
"We've supported PATCH's Toy Appeal in previous years, but Tracy said more and more people are needing the charity's help so we wanted to do something, and we hope this cheque will help."
