THERE’S just one day left to take part in Pembrokeshire County Council’s month-long consultation on its draft budget for 2019-20.

The deadline for comments on the draft budget is midnight on Friday, January 18.

The consultation gives people the chance to voice their opinions on a variety of budgetary decisions facing the Authority.

Topics include Council Tax and possible changes to Pembrokeshire’s customer service centres, Tenby TIC and the Registrars Service.

Other issues include the highways maintenance and street cleansing budgets, and possible re-relocation of the Council’s Licensing Service.

More than 300 people have already submitted their views via the consultation document on the Council’s website at www.pembrokeshire.gov.uk/haveyoursay

The consultation has also included three Facebook live sessions during which Cllr Bob Kilmister, the cabinet member for finance, Jon Haswell, director of resources, and Ian Eynon, head of resource management, responded to questions on the budget from members of the public.

The sessions received more than 12,000 views in total.

Drop-in question and answer sessions were also held at Glan yr Afon / the Riverside in Haverfordwest, and Pembrokeshire Archives.

The written consultation responses will be compiled into a report which will be presented to Cabinet on February 11, and to full council on February 21.
