Visiting a police station out of homesickness led to a woman being arrested.
Sian Davies, 51, previously of Haverfordwest, currently living in south Wales, appeared before local magistrates on Tuesday, January 15.
She pleaded guilty to using threatening or abusive words or behaviour within hearing or sight of a person likely to be caused harassment, alarm or distress.
Prosecutor Sian Vaughan said Davies went to Haverfordwest police station on December 17 because she wanted to be arrested.
“The situation then deteriorated, she swore at officers while she was at the police station.”
Mark Layton, defending, said Davies had wanted to be rehoused locally after becoming homesick.
“She went to the police station in a state of despair. She was perhaps not in the best position to discuss accommodation.”
He added: “She became abusive as a result of these emotional issues and was arrested.”
Magistrates described the offence as an ‘unpleasant incident’ and fined Davies £40.
She was ordered to pay £85 court costs and a £30 surcharge.
