A NURSERY supported by a village community has celebrated its first birthday.

Busy Beehive Pre School, Wiston celebrated its first birthday on January 8.

Pupils at the nursery enjoyed birthday cake to mark the occasion made by Nicola Thomas.

Carol Adams and Hayley Mills who run the nursery are both pleased to say numbers at the pre-school are steadily increasing, showing it is a popular and needed provision for the area.

The nursery was set up last year due to popular demand after a planning process by members of staff at the school and a committee of organisers.

Busy Beehive Pre School runs from St Aidan's Church in Wales School and is open to all children from the age of 2 and they also run a mother and toddler group every Wednesday.

The nursery now has registered for 30 hours of funded provision which is due to be introduced in Pembrokeshire in April 2019.

If any parents wish to make a visit to Busy Beehive they can phone 01437 731449.
