Western Telegraph:

Pembrokeshire County Council said this morning: "Primary and secondary routes in Pembrokeshire have been gritted overnight, with secondary routes just being completed now.

"A lorry is currently gritting the New Inn to Fishguard road via Morvil.

"The County Council is maintaining lorries in depots, monitoring the network and addressing any problematic areas where possible.

"Our focus remains on primary routes first and secondary routes to maintain the network open.

Ploughing on the mountain road was undertaken overnight and the B4329 remains closed. The road will be reassessed at first light and a decision taken on opening it.

"The advice, as always, is to take extreme care on the roads and to avoid making journeys in adverse weather conditions."

Dyfed-Powys Police Tweeted: "Reports of icy roads being received at Dyfed-Powys Police control room. Drivers are advised to drive carefully."

UPDATE: 9.15am from Pembrokeshire County Council:

Primary routes and secondary routes gritting operations in Pembrokeshire have been completed and remain the Authority’s priority.

Any untreated roads and footways are likely to be icy, especially in the North East of the County, and we ask members of the public to take care and remain vigilant.

The B4329 is now open but we ask members of the public not to park on the side of the roads as this will cause obstructions to gritting operations.

The only school closure report is Maenclochog.
